Everything you need to know about the requirements of doing online lessons.

1. Computer
PC System requirements:

  • PC running Windows 2000 or XP. (The new video feature requires Windows XP.)
  • Internet connection (broadband is best, GPRS is not supported for voice calls, and results may vary on a satellite connection)..
  • We also recommend that you have at least 400 MHz processor, 128 MB RAM and 15 MB free disk space on your hard drive.

Mac System Requirements:

  • Macintosh computer with G3, G4 or G5 processor
  • Mac OS X v10.3 Panther or newer
  • 128 MB RAM
  • 20 MB free disk space on your hard drive

2. Internet Connection
Broadband is best (cable, DSL, etc). However, dial-up: minimum 56 Kbps is also acceptable.

3. Skype

4. Headset (or speakers and microphone)
A headset is a headphone and microphone combined. It produces the best sound quality for lessons. However, built-in or separate speakers and microphone can also be used.

5. Webcam (optional)
Please check a local or online electronics store for a webcam compatible with your computer.
